As one venture capitalist put it: “Honey is Nextdoor meets Alipay with a built in CRM for small merchants.” Not bad, but it doesn’t tell the whole story. We are a payments company, a marketing company, a business intelligence tool, a community connection tool, a communication delivery platform and even a consumer privacy instrument for Small and Medium sized Businesses (SMBs).

We redefine how payments work by tearing up the existing model and building it from scratch. Among other things, tearing up the playbook has allowed us to architect around legacy payment obstacles. Southwest founder Herb Kelleher once said: “I knew nothing about airlines, which I think made me eminently qualified to start one, because what we tried to do at Southwest was get away from the traditional way that airlines had done business.” While our founders had payment experience, we took the same beginner’s approach when we started to build out our network. We locked ourselves away for six months and did not allow ourselves to be distracted by any known industry obstacles. It served us well.

We invite you to suspend all preconceived notions of the payments space and keep your mind open to what is possible today rather than focusing on what was not possible yesterday. We put a man on the moon, so we believe that we can do anything here on Earth. We live this adage and warmly invite you to follow our journey.
